The meaning of being in a constant state of edit

In the About Me section of my website, I claim myself as being in a "constant state of edit" but I can see that the reference may seem a little vague. I want an opportunity to explain myself:
Edit: (n): to revise or correct, as a manuscript; to expunge or eliminate
I have always enjoyed the process of editing. Writing papers was one of my favorite hobbies in high school. I love being able to cross things out, add in pieces where they belong and have the chance to restructure an entire idea. But I think editing is something so much more than an academic exercise.
Something that is very important to me is having ample opportunities to better myself. I want to be the best possible version of me: in school, in work, in health, in my family and in my friend groups. I'm not concerned with being better than others, only better than who I was yesterday.
Being in a constant state of edit means that I am never complete. I fully believe that I will never know everything about social media, I will never be the ultimate daughter and I will never be the healthiest person alive. But I will always be trying. I will always be in a constant state of edit, bettering myself.
Something I love about the public relations and marketing is the opportunity for edits. Companies are constantly rebuilding their brand, expanding their reach and even rewriting the rules of the trade. I am fascinated and as soon as I knew that perfection is always the reach but never the settling point, I fell in love.
So like the multitude of papers I wrote in high school and even this blog post, I will be editing myself until the last possible moment.
